During pregnancy, a woman’s daily intake requirements for certain nutrients, such as folic acid (folate), calcium, and iron will increase. But, one should avoid taking several different
    prenatal supplements,
unless under a health care provider’s supervision, instead take one multivitamin that includes a variety of needed nutrients in one dose.

I’m an advocate that all moms-to-be should take a high quality prenatal vitamin with Folic Acid which will ensure their baby has the best start to life. My wife did not like taking pill vitamins (omega-3 or multi) due to, they upset her stomach. However she knew this was the best thing for her and our baby. Lastly, when I cooked meals I always had green vegetable or something raw.
